Hi guys! I have recently been loving these organizational posts and thought I would share some more of my favorites with you all! This post is going to show you my favorite tips on organizing your closet and keeping it decluttered forever! I hope you enjoy and comment down below the tip you found most useful!
My first tip is to use the same colored hangers. Whether it is white or black, using the same colored hangers not only makes your closet look more organized, but also allows you to find outfits easier because they are all displayed along the same background.
Secondly, I highly suggest using patterned or embroidered bins to use as hidden storage in your closet. It allows you to find the items you are looking for; socks, scarfs, belts, and any other smaller clothing items more efficiently and they have a lesser chance of getting lost.
Thirdly, purchasing a shoe storage display like the one pictured below is a must have. I personally bought two of these because the way I placed the shelves allowed for minimal storage. These shelving units are very pleasing to the eye and makes it easier for you to see all the shoes you actually have!
Next, I decided to hang two extra white shelves on the inside side of my closet to allow for more storage. I placed my high heels and larger boots these shelves so they wouldn’t get squished inside the other shoe shelves.
Another tip I would definitely recommend is placing baskets inside of your dresser drawers to keep your pants piles from falling over and making your drawers look messy and disorganized. I placed all of my leggings inside the basket so that I could easily decipher them from my other sweatpants and joggers.
I also place my laundry basket so that it is hidden and you can barely see all of my dirty clothes when looking at my closet. It makes the closet appear cleaner and also keeps things in a designated place so they are not laying all over your floor.
Lastly, I printed out labels, used cute washi tape that matched my room to outline the label and help it stay in place. I found two large clear tote bins and placed white paper on the one side that is seen so that you wouldn’t see all of the things I shoved inside. They are great for blanket storage as well as extra room decor pieces that you want to use to switch out later on.
